Dr. Ellen Ensher Biography for Women’s Leadership Success

Ellen Ensher has been a management professor at the College of Business Administration since 1997. Ensher has published over 40 articles and book chapters in leading journals, including the Academy of Management Executive, Human Resource Development Quarterly, Journal of Vocational Behavior and Leadership Quarterly. Ensher, with co-author Susan Murphy, wrote “Power Mentoring: How Successful Mentors and Protégés Make the Most out of Their Relationships” (Jossey-Bass, 2005).

Dr. Ellen Ensher is a frequent speaker to executive teams on the topic of mentoring for organizations including: Chicago Healthcare Executives, DirectTV, Kraft Foods, Psomas, the Sisters of the Holy Cross, the U.S. Navy and the World Presidents Organization. Internationally, Ensher has conducted workshops on mentoring for Knowledge Resources in South Africa and taught courses in international human resource management in Rome, Italy and Dublin, Ireland.
